As early as in 1983 Wham!'s American record company Columbia promoted George and Andy's work with this mix. After the big success of Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do?), Young Guns and Bad Boys back home in the UK some record company-executive gave Alan Coulthard of famous Dutch Disco Mix Club the order to mix all the beforementioned songs into one Mega Mix. With this Wham!'s music was to make an impact on American dance floors.
Wham! had to use the letters "U.K." in their band logo because at the time another group of the same name was making music in the US. With the release of Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go in 1984 though that was no longer necessary.
