Toby Bourke & George Michael
Waltz Away Dreaming

This song reaching No. 10 in the UK's Top Forty on 7 June, 1997 was a
big success for ĘGEAN as this was the
very first release of George Michael's record
label other than his own.
A very hard time for George though since his mother had passed away only
some time ago. So this release had become a dedication to his mum alongside
You Have Been Loved which was released itself soon
after another sad incident, namely the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
The lyrics of Waltz Away Dreaming are as personal as one is accustomed to
from George but with this song he even went one step further as he wanted
his words to help his father cope with the loss of his wife.
Singing together on this was not the only co-operation of the release as both
of them wrote and produced the track.
This is how the song appeared:
- Waltz Away Dreaming (4'44'')
- Waltz Away Dreaming '99 (4'46'')*
- Waltz Away Dreaming (Acoustic Version) (4'41'')
*produced by Toby Bourke
