In 1985 Elton released the album Ice On Fire which saw many of his favourite artists contributing their talents. Nik Kershaw, Queen's Roger Taylor and John Deacon, Millie Jackson and Sister Sledge all came, when Elton invited them. Oh yes, there was George Michael too who sang on two songs on the album. Wrap Her Up being one of them with Nikita being the other.
The release was a huge success and George was probably very proud to have himself perpetuated on an album by his ultimate teen-idol by having done backing vocals for this recording.
A big friendship was growing and many collaborations should follow.
